STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION
STRATEGY 2025+
FROM PLAN TO IMPACT
From the outset, ASCS's “2025+” strategy has been more
than just a programmatic framework - it is an active roadmap
that is now clearly leaving its mark. Our focus areas of
simulation, artificial intelligence (AI) and highperformance computing (HPC) are now more vibrant,
visible and effective than ever before. New partnerships,
relevant membership growth, thematically focused,
up-to-date event formats and digital platforms show that we
are on the right track – and we are in the fast lane.
With over 17 years of experience in the mobility industry
and now more than 60 members, ASCS brings together
expertise from industry, science, software development, and
applied research. The 2025+ strategy has helped us refocus
this potential and translate it into action.
NETWORKING WITH IMPACT: NEW
PARTNERSHIPS, NEW DYNAMICS
A central element of our strategy is the systematic
development of collaborations with partners who
meaningfully expand and deepen our areas of focus. With
ASAM e.V., we have established close ties to normative
issues in the automotive industry – especially when it comes
to standardization in the context of simulation and data
quality for ADAS & AD development.
Our collaboration with the DFKI (German Research Center
for Artificial Intelligence) is also a strong driver of
excellence in content: it provides direct access to current
developments in the field of trustworthy AI, for example with
regard to the AI Act or the discussion about “Trusted AI” in
simulation, but especially with regard to the interaction
between simulation and AI – a real dream team.

FORMATS FOR EXCHANGE, IMPACT, AND
PUBLICITY
New content needs new stages. With formats such as
“Game Changer Simulation: AI and Data-driven
Simulation Forum” the new flagship event “simXmobility
- Simulation of Automated and Intermodal Mobility”,
and “Battery Simulation Day,” the ASCS deliberately
focuses on practical, interdisciplinary event formats. They
bring together players from a wide range of fields – from
automotive manufacturers and suppliers to AI start-ups
and researchers from the sustainability and data space
community. The new strategy is also evident in existing
formats. The best example is the Driving Simulation
Symposium, where we are seeing increasing numbers of
participants and topics such as decentralized data-driven
simulation being presented via ENVITED-X Data Space and
further developed with the community.
Particularly noteworthy is the close integration with the
Game Changer Simulation (GCS) initiative, which, as the
strategic arm of the association, focuses specifically on the
big picture. With a clear focus on the overarching
developments in simulation, AI, and HPC, the initiative
deliberately takes a bird's-eye view: it analyzes trends,
connects players from different domains, and promotes
strategic exchange. In addition, it builds valuable bridges to
related industries such as chemistry, trade, and energy,
thus extending the reach and relevance of the topics far
beyond the mobility sector.
