FOR AUTOMATED AND CONNECTED
MOBILITY.
The ENVITED research cluster (ENvironment for VIrtual TEst
Drive) brings together a subgroup of ASCS members leading
the way in virtual development, validation, and certiﬁcation
of automated and connected mobility systems.
OUR MISSION
As a member-driven, long-term initiative, ENVITED
advances simulation strategically through new methods,
collaborative processes, and shared expertise across
domains. Cluster members work together and beneﬁt in
four key areas:
1. Data Pool
Simulation relies on application-speciﬁc digital twins, built
from various data sources and tools. ENVITED-X Data Space
and OpenMSL (Open Source Model & Simulation Library)
provide certiﬁed, shareable simulation data and processes ensuring compatibility, transparency, and usability across
use cases and disciplines and organizational boundaries.
2. Data Ecosystem
Virtual validation requires trust. ENVITED builds a traceable
and credible data infrastructure, enabling cross-company
collaboration. Through joint projects and workgroups,
methods for machine-supported, continuous validation are
developed and tested.
3. Innovation Hub
Tomorrow’s vehicle functions demand next-generation
simulation methods. ENVITED drives this through
open-source collaboration, early-stage project networking,
and fast-track industrialization - turning research into
real-world applications.
4. Career Channel
Simulation of automated driving is a growing, high-tech
ﬁeld. ENVITED promotes talent development through
partnerships with experts from industry and academia.
WHY ENVITED?
Because simulation is the common thread connecting
everything. ASCS and ENVITED act as catalyst, multiplier, and
